Carrie Bradshaw has become a cultural icon for girls my age even though she is just a fictional character. She’s witty, lives in New York City , a writer, has a crazy love life and a wardrobe to die for. It makes sense for girls to relate to her or even want to be like her.
I am one of those girls.
As silly as it sounds, I relate to Carrie. She's a woman finding out who she is and wants she wants out of life in a big city. As a recent college grad living inBoston , I find myself doing the same thing.
However, the reason why I relate to Carrie the most is because she is a writer. While other girls were green with envy because of her killer shoe collection, I was jealous of the amazing column she got to write weekly. She used her life experiences to teach others about life and love and I strive to do the same thing.
So, here is my shot. Follow me on my weekly journey as I figure out my career, life, friendships and love.
Welcome to Sara in the City.
