After being kind enough to answer a few serious questions, Meyer indulge us by replying to a few silly ones. Her debut novel, the first in a four-book series, hits bookstores Jan. 3.
Ruffled Feathers: You rub a genie lamp and get three wishes. What do you wish for?:
Marissa Meyer: A log cabin in the mountains. A movie deal for all four Lunar Chronicles books. Calorie-free cheesecake. RF: Who is your favorite fairy tale character?
MM: Puss in Boots – a cat who’s smarter than his master. It’s just so… true to life!
RF: What fairy tale couple give Cinder and Kai a run for their money? MM: Beauty and the Beast – one of the few fairy tales where the couple actually gets to know each other before falling in love.
RF: Who would star as you in the movie of your life?
MM: Unable to think of anything, I asked my husband. His response: Lady Gaga. Clearly he never wants me to ask for his help with interview questions again.
RF: What's your favorite book of all time?
MM: Pride and Prejudice.
RF: Finish this sentence: I can't go a day without...
MM: Chocolate.
