After indulging in some obsessive Googling before making my appointment, I came across some disturbing research about spray tans. A chemical used in spray tans, Dihydroxyacetone or DHA, can actually promote the development of some cancers. However, without inhaling the chemical fumes, research shows it shouldn't have the same harmful affects. Therefore, you need to make sure your mouth and nose are covered during your session (AKA a full face mask and some horrid tanning lines).
So, all in all. My Groupon is one week away from expiring and I am still stuck on the decision on booking an appointment. Celebrities like Emma Stone and Taylor Swift have been embracing their light complexions so I feel as if I should do the same. In the tanning world, it seems we will never win!
